Ben Dowling is an entrepreneur and software engineer with a passion for collecting and organizing IP address data. He is the CEO and founder of IPInfo, a platform for comprehensive IP data that provides detailed information such as geolocation, ISP info, company data, type of connection, other domains hosted on that IP address, and more.

Ben's experience in software engineering includes previous roles as CTO at Calm.com, software engineer at Facebook, lead server engineer at Lightbox.com, co-founder & CTO at Geomium, senior software engineer at Mendeley, software developer at smartFOCUS, and software engineer at Roke Manor Research, Siemens.

Ben's educational background includes studying MEng in Software Engineering at the University of Southampton. He is highly skilled and experienced in managing and auditing large amounts of IP address data that can be used for security purposes, as well as personalizing a user’s experience, predicting chargebacks, or learning more about customers’ habits or usage.
