    Ben Allison is an internationally recognized bassist, composer, and bandleader known for his extensive touring worldwide.

    He has released 13 critically acclaimed CDs of original music, with 10 on Palmetto Records and the latest albums on his Sonic Camera label.

    Seven of his albums have reached #1 on national jazz radio charts, earning him 8 SESAC Performance Awards.

    In 1992, Ben founded the Jazz Composers Collective in NYC, producing over 100 concerts and special events until its closure in 2005.

    Ben is currently the Advocacy Committee Chair of the NY chapter of The Recording Academy, previously serving as Vice President and President.

    He has testified in front of the US Congress on musician's performance rights and received grants from various prestigious organizations.

    Ben has been recognized in the Downbeat Readers Poll and Critics Poll for his contributions as a bassist and composer.

    His work extends to over 75 albums and includes compositions for film, television, radio, and even the theme for NPR's On the Media.

    Ben Allison has collaborated with the Jazz Sinfonica Symphony Orchestra in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on multiple occasions.

    Education-wise, he studied Bachelor of Music in Composition & Improvised Music at Yale University and BA in Music Performance at New York University.

    He has held various roles including Associate Teaching Professor at New School, College of Performing Arts and as the Artistic Director of Jazz Composers Collective.
