Jean MacDonald is an experienced marketer, public relations expert, and educator with a passion for helping small businesses thrive. With a background in history, graphic and web design, and marketing, Jean has spent her career exploring a range of strategies to help her clients tell their stories and connect with customers.

Jean is perhaps best known for her work as the founder of App Camp For Girls, a non-profit organization that encourages young women to pursue careers in software development. Over six years, she helped to grow the program, connecting with parents and educators to raise awareness about the importance of diversity within the tech industry.

In addition to her work with App Camp For Girls, Jean has also worked as a partner in marketing and PR for Smile Software, where she helped to develop cutting-edge strategies for email marketing, search engine optimization, and more. She has also taught web design and online marketing courses in a variety of settings, including at Global Tech Corps, Geekcorps, and Pacific Northwest College of Art.

Today, Jean is the community manager at Micro.blog, an open blogging and social media platform that prioritizes freedom of expression, privacy, and inclusivity.
