Christopher Pearsall is a PR specialist and a leading figure in DonorsChoose, a non-profit online platform that connects donors directly to classrooms for the purpose of funding specific teacher projects and learning materials. As Vice President of Brand and Communications, he oversees media partnerships and relations, content marketing, and social media strategies, among other tasks. His career started at MSL Group, where he managed PR tactics for international pharmaceutical clients. Later, he directed public relations efforts at Magellan Health Services, a behavioral health care provider.
At DonorsChoose, Christopher has been part of several game-changing initiatives, such as the launch of the #ISeeMe campaign, designed to support teachers of color and students from diverse backgrounds, as well as the world's biggest donation in cryptocurrency, $29 million in Ripple's XRP, to fund all 35,000 projects hosted on the website. He also helped in raising over $12 million for schools affected by natural disasters, such as hurricanes, wildfires, and floods.
Christopher attended Ithaca College, where he studied B.S. in an undisclosed field. Additionally, he has been a speaker in many media-related events, including DonorsChoose's annual Partner Summit, which was graced by celebrity speakers such as W. Kamau Bell, Stephen Colbert, Gwyneth Paltrow, Whoopi Goldberg, Ashton Kutcher, Eric Garcetti, and Sheryl Sandberg.
