William Cotta is an accomplished Naval Architect and Marine Engineer with an educational background that includes a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the United States Coast Guard Academy and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology. With over a decade of experience in the maritime industry, Mr. Cotta has held various engineering and project management roles, including Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager at the U.S. Coast Guard and Senior Staff Engineer at ThayerMahan. He was also the Deputy Director of Seabed Systems Data Analytics at ThayerMahan and an offshore wind supply chain director at Rhode Island Commerce.

His experience working in different positions has given him comprehensive knowledge of the entire product life cycle, from product development and design to production and maintenance. Furthermore, his technical experience allows him to work on complex marine design and analysis projects effectively. He has a passion for working on marine projects in a leadership capacity, and he is currently focused on developing offshore wind projects.
