Alexander Sazonov is a seasoned journalist with over a decade of experience in the industry. With a Master's Degree in political science and international relations from the Moscow State Linguistic University, Alexander started his career by covering various topics for Forbes Russia magazine including metals&mining, finance, and agriculture. He then went on to work as a reporter for Mergermarket, a subsidiary of the Financial Times group, where he wrote M&A surveys, covered the CIS region, was responsible for business intelligence, news sources maintenance and development, and constant communication with M&A professionals. Currently, Alexander serves as a reporter for Bloomberg Billionaires Index in Moscow, covering Russia, and all the other CIS countries. In this role, he is responsible for the wealth valuation of more than 40 of the richest people in the region, and constantly updating their billionaire profiles in the Bloomberg terminal and on Bloomberg.com.

In addition to his extensive professional experience, Alexander has also achieved several important qualifications including a post-graduate diploma in financial analysis from the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Bloomberg Market Concepts Certificate, and the Certificate in Investor Relations (CIR) from the UK Investor Relations Society (IR Society).
