Shri Service Corps is a hybrid for-profit/nonprofit organization that serves underprivileged and under-served communities throughout Rhode Island with wellness opportunities, including free yoga outreach classes for students in schools, shelters and clinics.As a Community Outreach Yoga Teacher for Shri Service Corps, I: ● Personally developed and deployed two new community outreach programs to serve under-represented populations in the local community who were experiencing highly stressful circumstances in the modern political climate● Piloted a weekly yoga program for the healthcare professionals of Planned Parenthood of Rhode Island designed to manage daily stress, increase physical wellness, cultivate group camaraderie, and develop stronger regimens of self-care● Led a wider initiative to provide weekly yoga classes for the clients of the Dorcas International Institute of Rhode Island (DIIRI), an organization that provides advocacy, family literacy and adult education, employment services, refugee resettlement, translation, interpretation, U.S. citizenship and immigration services to recently-arriving immigrants and refugees to the United States of America● Voluntary participation rates and overwhelmingly positive feedback from hundreds of students led to the creation of more classes, including women-specific yoga classes in honor of various cultural norms and religious preferences● Participants hailed from more than a dozen nations including Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Nepal, Morocco, Venezuela, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Sierra Leone, and beyond

Laughing Elephant Yoga is a leading yoga studio in Rhode Island that houses yoga classes, therapists and various healing modalities as an ensuite service provider to the local mindfulness community.As a yoga teacher at Laughing Elephant Yoga, I have prided myself on providing open, nonjudgmental space for a wide range of students who have varied in age (from 7 to 77) and in yoga experience. My classes have held space for personal healing and transformation for more than 4,000 students in over 600 classes, dozens of workshops and 3 destination retreats since 2014.In this role, I:✔  Established a reputable following for a weekly class of 20-30 participants on average✔  Created and shared marketing materials to invite a diverse range of students into workshops and destination retreats✔  Embraced continual learning of human anatomy, physiology, ancient spiritual texts, ongoing debate and evolution of yoga principles, and mind-body research of leading Western psychology to maximize health and wellness of participants* After four years of teaching, I am currently on sabbatical to reconnect to my yoga practice as a student.

Specialized in strategic advance work, preparing for long-term and day-to-day duties in conjunction with handfuls of campaign and state officials. As a body man to a gubernatorial candidate, an ordinary day would involve me personally driving the candidate across the state to events and offices to maintain his hectic schedule while fielding high-level calls from political insiders, media representatives and even candidacy opponents -- all in a pressurized political vacuum. In "down time," my policy research and campaign management role was to work alongside full-time political campaigners, dissect poll numbers and analyze short- and long-term strategy. It was a wild blend of visionary strategy with minute-by-minute, hands-on grunt work.

Wrote a fifty-page report to the Chairman of the White House Council on Environmental Quality, Jim Connaughton, on the American Heritage Rivers Initiative (AHRI) with CEQ’s Associate Director for Natural Resources, Terry Breyman.  The report detailed the program’s methods of operation and successes. Assisted the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) director of AHRI in updating and redesigning the AHRI homepage on the official website of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).Assisted Chairman Connaughton’s Assistants with general office management and correspondence.Completed research and special projects with CEQ Associate Directors for: Agriculture, Lands and Wildlife; Ocean and Coastal Policy; Environment and Regulation; and International Affairs and Climate Change.

Wrote a ten-page report to the General Treasurer and senior staff on accidental disability retirement legislation in Rhode Island.  Report included comprehensive research on Rhode Island’s legislation and similar legislation in over 10 states.  Additionally, detailed the legislation’s problematic areas, advised where improvements could be made and identified likely political obstacles to their implementation.Drafted an editorial on Accidental Disability Retirement legislation on behalf of the General Treasurer.
