Balazs Peter Matrai is an accomplished founder and business professional with years of experience in scaling sustainability and technology-driven businesses across different industries. He has a solid educational background in various fields, including Strategic Management, Finance, and Economics, having studied at reputable institutions such as The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Université Panthéon Assas (Paris II), and Corvinus University of Budapest.

Balazs has extensive experience in renewable energy, regenerative agriculture, reforestation, biomass, biofuels, and biochemicals. He has exhibited leadership expertise in different areas such as corporate development, fundraising, global strategy, licensing, business planning, strategic partnerships, finance, cross-functional leadership, cross-cultural leadership, and operational implementation. Balazs is a co-founder at EDGE, and he was formerly co-founder & board member at FREYR AS, senior advisor at SYSTEMIQ Ltd., board member at HTTP Foundation, CFO at Joule Unlimited Technologies, Inc., COO and CFO at Butamax Advanced Biofuels, Director of Business Development at BP Biofuels North America, and a strategy advisor at BP Biofuels North America.
