OUR NICHE: Teaching the next generation of leaders to be unstoppable! OUR PASSION: Kids Celebrating Kids. OUR CORE FOCUS: Providing Birthday Celebrations to Kids in Need, Fighting Kids Hunger & Leadership Development of Youth Simon Says Give started in Eagan, MN and was kid-founded by Mandi Simon at the age of 8. SSG remains kid-operated with over 20 youth involved in the day-to-day business operations of the nonprofit. As a Board Member of Simon Says Give in Sioux Falls, I have the opportunity to assist Nolan Fleming, our Kid President of the Sioux Falls chapter, as well as the other kids in our organization. Nolan's mission is to fight kids' hunger in Sioux Falls. We operate under the guidance and support of our Minnesota team to develop a model for Sioux Falls where our efforts stay local and we build youth leadership with programs that give back and support Sioux Falls area kids.In Minnesota alone, SSG has served over 17,000 children with Birthday Celebrations, Backpacks and School Supplies and ways for kids to engage and share their time and talent as they grow their leadership capacity! In Sioux Falls, we've just begun, raising over $3,000 since we began in May 2015. C-Suite Network Executive Leader

Served as the International President from July 2013-July 2014, being only the 3rd woman to hold this position since its inception in 1918. Implementations for the year included:- HIRED NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR. Included serving on the Search Committee and was ultimately responsible for training the new Executive Director during the year. Document new processes and procedures to create a Procedure Manual of all day-to-day activities of an Executive Director. - INCREASED FINANCIAL STABILITY. The organization had been operating with a deficit for several years. Implement strict budget controls which lead the organization to operating in the black by the end of the fiscal year. - SOLD HEADQUARTERS BUILDING. Navigated and coordinated the selling of the headquarters building in Kansas City, MO, and moving it to a home office in Lancaster, PA. A hot and contentious topic with the membership, but ultimately brought everyone together to do what was best for the organization financially. - INCREASE MEMBERSHIP. Helped start a new Club. - REVIVED STRATEGIC PLAN. Created a new Strategic Plan and implemented an Action Plan for the year. - IMPLEMENTED NEW INTERNATIONAL PROJECT. Worked with Board and members to come up with a new international project that would unify the organization.

The Cosmopolitan Diabetes Foundation is the charitable arm of Cosmopolitan International. It is the conduit through which contributions may flow from the public to those charitable activities supported by Cosmopolitan International members. All contributions to the Cosmopolitan Diabetes Foundation qualify as tax deductions for income and estate tax purposes. Any organization which can show evidence that its funds remain dedicated to charitable, educational and scientific purposes is eligible to apply for grants. The Board of Directors of the Foundation makes decisions with respect to Foundation funds. This Board is elected by the membership of each Federation of Cosmopolitan International. Decisions are based upon the expressed intent of the donor and the needs of the Cosmopolitan International projects.

Secretary and Board Member, Cosmopolitan Diabetes Foundation

I was installed as the 2013-2014 International President of Cosmopolitan International, the Club that Fights Diabetes.Served as the Chief Executive Officer of Cosmopolitan International and was directly and ultimately accountable for and to the entire organization for all plans, programs and projects of Cosmopolitan International and to ensure the future of Cosmopolitan International. I was responsible for, communicated with, and supervised the work and activities of the President-Elect, the Vice President for Membership and New Clubs, the Vice President for Finance, the Vice President for Marketing, the Executive Director, and the seven Federation Governors; ensuring that the duties of each of these offices and positions were fulfilled as required under the bylaws, applicable policies of the International Board, manuals or plans of Cosmopolitan International. I was responsible for the communication of the aims, objectives, plans, and projects of Cosmopolitan International to the membership. Highlights during my year: 1) the organization moved its Headquarters office from Kansas to Pennsylvania, 2) training the new Executive Director, 3) a new club was built in Lincoln, NE, the first new club in 5 years, 4) the organization as a whole went from operating in the red to operation in the black with a surplus, 5) implemented an action plan based on the strategic plan, 6) implemented a monthly newsletter to enhance communication.

As the President-Elect I assisted the President as directed by the President. I was responsible for training Governors- Elect during the Board’s Winter Meeting. I was responsible for ensuring that the President’s Annual Plan was prepared prior to the Governor-Elect training. I was responsible for ensuring that all Federation and Club officers are trained and informed of their duties and responsibilities to the organization.During my year as President-elect I was on the Committee that interviewed and hired a new Executive Director.

International President-elect

This was a new position created in 2009. I was the first person to hold this position and was instrumental in creating the goals and objectives of this key position. I oversaw the operations of all marketing ventures of the Clubs including oversight of our quarterly magazine, COSMOTopics, our website, and branding.During my three years in this position, I directed and oversaw a project to create a 20-page publication was that highlighted our projects which continues to serve as a key marketing piece to the organization. I redesigned our quarterly magazine, COSMOTopics and served as the Editor. I developed a Graphic Standards Guide and set up our social media sites.
