Vera Silva is an accomplished engineer and Chief Technology Officer at GE Grid Solutions. Silva has a reputation as an expert in designing and producing world-class products and solutions for Grid Solutions’ customers. Her educational background includes a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College London and another PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universidade do Porto, as well as a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Silva also possesses vast experience in the field, having worked at several organizations, including EDF, Royal HaskoningDHV, and as an Assistant Professor at ISEP - Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto. Of note, she formerly served as the Research Program Director - Electricity Systems and Markets at EDF, and Vice President T&D Europe at T&D Europe. Silva is a seasoned expert in her field and has also served as the coordinator of the EU-SysFlex H2020 project proposal at EU-SysFlex.
