Amrita Venkatraman is a rising junior at Stanford University with a passion for computer science and psychology, focused on the application of these fields to create innovative mobile applications and engaging user interfaces. She has been involved in various clubs at Stanford, including Stanford Women in Computer Science and CS + Social Good, dedicated to breaking down negative stereotypes around women and minorities in technical fields.
In addition to her studies, Amrita has an impressive list of professional experiences, having worked as a Software Engineer at Slack, a Product Lead at Stanford University, an Associate Software Engineer at Slack, and a User Interface Engineer at Stanford University School Of Medicine. She has also served as a Psych 70: Undergraduate Teaching Assistant and a CS91: Student Lecturer at Stanford University, an Engineering Fellow at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and has worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Slack and Looker. Additionally, Amrita has a strong commitment to supporting education and has worked as an Instructor for the Khan Lab School, Core Curriculum Director, and Instructor at Streetcode Academy, and as President at Homestead Speech and Debate Club and Homestead Programming Club.
