Andrew Black
Andrew Black is a renowned entrepreneur and investor with a wealth of experience in building and scaling consumer products and technology companies. He is the General Partner at BrandProject, a venture studio and venture capital firm that invests in seed-stage and disruptive early stage consumer businesses. His expertise ranges from start-ups, fundraising, and strategy, to leadership, product innovation, brand building, and high growth. Andrew's extensive background in six different industries includes building and transforming businesses in highly competitive markets, and he has held top-level positions in various companies including Virgin Mobile, LEGO Americas, Nike, and Dr Pepper Snapple Group.
In 2004, Andrew founded Virgin Mobile Canada and led it to become one of the most successful wireless companies in the country. He also served as President of LEGO Americas, where he led the turnaround of the company's operations in the region. Additionally, he was the US GM at Nike, where he oversaw the company's multi-billion dollar operations in the US. Andrew has a track record of identifying high potential businesses, investing in them, and working with founders to build strong foundations that lead to world-class branded companies with scalable technology, customer experience, and profitable unit economics.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Queen's University. He is the Founder and CEO of BrandProject LP, and he previously served as the Managing Partner at Blackpoynt, Brand Manager at Colgate Palmolive, and the VP of Marketing USA at Dr Pepper Snapple Group.
