Adam Perkins is a skilled urban planner and economic development expert, currently serving as the Urban Planning Manager at the Downtown Denver Partnership, Inc. He holds a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado Denver, and a BA in Religion with a minor in Environmental Studies from Colorado College. With a background in community planning, public works, and equity planning, Adam is dedicated to improving public spaces and places that serve as the connective tissue of communities. As former Chair at the American Planning Association and former Strategic Planner at Colorado State Parks, Adam has a wealth of experience in community planning and development. His work encompasses planning efforts including the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall, outdoor spaces, linear parks, core neighborhoods, and the downtown area. Adam believes that well-designed public spaces are essential in anchoring communities and bringing people together.
