Mauricio Salazar is a seasoned management consultant and business leader with over 19 years of experience in the automotive and motorcycle industries. He spent nine years with McKinsey & Company, working on diverse projects spanning Colombia and the United States. He later founded Autogermana S.A., taking on the mantle of CEO from 2007 to 2011. This company was the sole importer for BMW, Motorrad, and MINI in Colombia and was recognized by BMW AG as one of the top 15 operations in the world. He also founded Andes Motors Holding, a company with a dealership network for Mercedes Benz, Ford, Freightliner, Mitsubishi Fuso, and Piaggio. Salazar graduated with honors from the Universidad de los Andes as an industrial engineer in 1997 and later earned an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Currently, he is the Vice President of Commercial, Retail, and Aftersales at Inchcape Latam, where he continues to bring his expertise to the automotive industry.
