James Tapscott is an accomplished Peer Recovery Support Specialist with a wealth of experience in Tarrant County Recovery Initiative, the Tarrant County Continuum of Care Board and the Ft Worth Commission on Ending Homelessness. With a mission to increase resources that promote and sustain long-term recovery through collaboration, improved service, public understanding and access, Tapscott is a committed advocate for those experiencing addiction and homelessness.
In addition to his impressive portfolio of accomplishments as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist, Tapscott is a trained trainer in recovery coach and provides RSS training involving both Mental Health and Substance Abuse Peers in Recovery. He was also trained in Satori Alternatives for Managing Aggression, Motivational Interviewing, and Critical Time Intervention.
