- Reflect the mission of the school to the athletic department and physical education staff, and supervise its implementation within the events of the department. * Supervise all coaching personnel. * Make recommendations for salary increments for coaching personnel. * Organize a purchasing schedule for new equipment, uniforms, etc. * Provide all coaches with personal equipment when requests are considered reasonable. * Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness all athletic facilities. * Arrange for the supervision of all locker rooms, equipment rooms and the swimming area. * Provide supervision of all home athletic contests. * Allocate the use of athletic facilities to outside groups. * Follow all league and section eligibility requirements. * Maintain a permanent file of players, medical examinations, insurance forms, parent consent forms, etc. * Prepare a comprehensive annual budget to the administration. * Pay personnel for athletic events. * Keep the school community informed of all athletic department events. * Work with the administration to coordinate special athletic events and alumni athletic events. * Plan, organize, and supervise athletic awards programs.
