This year will bring together 60+ speakers to share their personal stories, passions and ideas with the world. In addition, TEDxBeaconStreet hosts Adventure Catalysts, a collection of global TEDx organizers that are spreading ideas through experiential learning opportunities within their communities connected to talks. These Adventures help expand the ideas and conversations beyond the presentations.

Leadership Team: Adventure Catalyst Director and Speaker Catalyst

Innovation in Action at ASP is a rigorous college-level course that teaches rising high school seniors how to think and act like entrepreneurs. Our current class of 14 students spends 30+ hours/week exploring their entrepreneurial mindset; learning and applying problem-solving skills towards open-ended design challenges; and examining the business model elements of successful for- and non-profit businesses. Responsibilities also include providing mentorship and guidance for two college-age course interns, coordinating design challenges with local businesses, organizing field trips and guest speakers, and executing the culminating pitch competition and student showcase with judges and local community. *Innovation in Action was also offered during summer 2014.*ASP is a 6 days/wk, 5 week program.

Co-founder and Curriculum Director for an education startup focused on developing key 21st century skills through hands-on, project-based learning experiences related to entrepreneurship and innovation. Programs ranged from weekend workshops to semester-long courses with middle and high school students across the United States. Each program allowed students to explore their entrepreneurial mindset (growth mindset, values, passions, personal strengths and purpose); learn and apply tools and strategies entrepreneurs, innovators and designers use to create innovative solutions to open-ended problems; develop knowledge and skills around building a enterprise, the lean startup methodology, and the Business Model Canvas. Programs exposed students to concepts and provided hands-on opportunities to apply skills via student-, company-, or community-driven design challenges, which culminated in pitch competitions and student showcases to the broader community.
