Gina Collecchia is a multi-talented audio engineer, musician, and author with an impressive and diverse professional background. She holds a Masters of Arts in Music, Science, and Technology from Stanford University, and has also studied EE + Computer Music at the University of Louisville and Mathematics at Reed College.

Her career has included positions as a Senior Software Engineer at Splice, Technical Project Manager for Audio at Meow Wolf, Research Engineer at Robin Healthcare, Senior Audio Engineer at Spatial Inc., Senior Software Engineer, Audio/DSP at Jaunt VR, Research Engineer at SoundHound, Acoustics (HW) Intern at Apple, Head of Audio at Djz, and Freelance Writer at Keyboard Magazine and Create Digital Music.

She is the author of the book Numbers and Notes: An Introduction to Musical Signal Processing, and has a passion for enhancing the music listening experience through scientific tools and research. Her areas of expertise include audio codecs, beamforming, artificial reverberation, speech recognition, and music information retrieval, among others. In her free time, she enjoys landscape photography, guitar, and traveling.
