Ben (Xiaojun) Li is a principal software engineering manager at Microsoft with a background in engineering, physics, and marketing. He obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park, as well as a Master of Science in Physics and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Wuhan University. Li has experience working as a cofounder, CTO, Mobile Engineering at LinkTime Corp, a Sr. Engineer, SOC Power Analysis at Apple, a staff engineer at Intel Corporation, a research assistant at the University of Maryland, and a marketing lead at Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell.

Li’s interests are focused on innovative mobile and web enterprise messaging products and the application of AI/ML to improve productivity in the workspace and beyond. He has patents approved and pending, including the Big Group Collaboration US Patent for managing online group chat.
