Bastiaan van Tilburg

Bastiaan van Tilburg is the current CEO of Skretting, a leading aquaculture feed production company owned by Nutreco, which is part of SHV Holdings. He assumed this role on June 1, 2024, succeeding Therese Log Bergjord.15

Background and Experience

Prior to becoming Skretting's CEO, van Tilburg worked at Trouw Nutrition, the livestock feed arm of Nutreco, for six years. During this time, he was also part of Nutreco's senior leadership team, giving him valuable experience in implementing effective feed strategies.1

Transition to Aquaculture

Although van Tilburg has extensive experience in the feed industry, his move to Skretting marks his first foray into the aquaculture sector. To familiarize himself with the unique aspects of feeding fish and shrimp, he has embarked on a global tour of Skretting's operations, customers, and species.1
