GO is the smart mobility program of the Dutch Soccer Association (KNVB) aimed at making 'soccer traffic' more sustainable. Every week, hundreds of thousands of soccer players, coaches, referees, and supporters travel across the Netherlands for one of the 33,000 matches held on the field or in indoor facilities. This results in an annual CO2 emission of 65,000 tons. We focus on optimizing the schedule, integrating new modes of transportation, installing smart charging stations, and promoting carpooling.

The Green Club is an initiative by KNVB to make sports facilities more sustainable. We aim to provide clubs with a healthy financial position by prioritizing sustainability. Our initial focus is on reducing energy consumption to achieve cost savings for clubs.

The Green Club provides insight into the current energy situation and knowledge on realizing energy potential. Then, we work with clubs to create an action plan and provide financial solutions. We secure the best deals from the market for commonly used sustainable measures, apply for relevant subsidies, and determine the fiscal benefits. From our experience, we can make a club more sustainable within one year.

As a sustainability consultant at Climate Neutral Group, I advise on CO2 reduction to help organizations work towards the goals of the Paris Agreement. By gaining a thorough understanding of CO2 emissions, we can focus on the sustainability bottlenecks and work on them collaboratively.

As a process technologist, my team and I are responsible for the production process within the factory. I ensure the translation of the laboratory test kitchen to an industrial process. If something goes wrong within the factory, we are the ad hoc problem solvers. In addition, I am working on improvement projects such as energy conservation and waste reduction. I am always looking for sustainable solutions.

Als hoofdcoach van de eerstejaars zware heren heb ik me bezig gehouden met het opleiden van roeiers zonder enige ervaring. Deze jongens maken een proces mee waar ze van niet-roeier naar wedstrijd-roeier gaan. Ik mocht dit proces begeleiden, waar trainingen opgeschaald worden, voeding en rust belangrijk is, met het doel om uiteindelijk als groep te presteren.

Argo is een vereniging met 520 leden, waar roeien de core-business is. De voorzitter is eindverantwoordelijke binnen een voltijd bestuur van acht man. Dagelijkse taken bevatten het contact houden met externen en het (meerjaren) beleid van de vereniging. Innovatie en verbetering van de vereniging is het focuspunt van het bestuursjaar.
