Bas Fontein

Bas Fontein is a seasoned professional with an extensive background in Conceptual Art, Text & Photography, and Publications.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Writing: text & image from Gerrit Rietveld Academie Amsterdam and a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art from Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht.

Throughout his career, Bas has been involved in various organizations and roles, including serving as a Lecturer in Fine Art at HKU (Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht).

He is also recognized for his contributions as the Co Founder & Chairman at Dutch Independent Art Book Publishers and as the Artistic Director at Stichting Museum voor Kunst in de Openbare Ruimte.

His diverse skill set has allowed him to take on roles such as Freelance Teacher in Fine Art & Photography at BAS200, Conceptual Artist at BASBOEK Publishers, and HR Advisor at HKU.

Bas has also excelled as a Concept Developer and Writer at Stichting Museum voor Kunst in de Openbare Ruimte, as well as a Manager at Apenheul and in Employee Personnel and Salary Administration at Woonzorg Nederland.
