Barry Stein, MD, MBA, FSIR, FACR, RPVI is an experienced physician executive and innovation leader at Hartford HealthCare (HHC). He currently serves as the Vice President, Chief Clinical Innovation Officer, and Chief Medical Informatics Officer at HHC.12 Dr. Stein is also the leader of HHC's Center for AI Innovation in Healthcare and practices as a Vascular and Interventional Radiologist.2

He received his medical degree from the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town, South Africa, and completed his post-graduate medical training at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Stein is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology and Vascular and Interventional Radiology.2
In addition to his medical background, Dr. Stein holds an Executive MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.2 He is recognized as an expert and innovator in Cardiovascular MRI and CT, and is considered one of the pioneers in the development and clinical paradigm shift from Invasive Angiography to Magnetic Resonance Angiography.1
