Barclay Paul Okari is a prominent Kenyan entrepreneur, currently serving as the Co-Founder and CEO of FinAccess, a financial technology company focused on digitizing non-traditional financial institutions such as savings and credit unions. He has held this position since January 2017, operating primarily out of the San Francisco Bay Area.1
Background and Education
Okari's entrepreneurial journey began at a young age, motivated by social issues he encountered during volunteer work at a girls' high school in Western Kenya. This experience led him to establish Impact Africa Industries Ltd in 2011, which manufactures affordable sanitary products aimed at improving the lives of women in rural communities. His flagship product, Safi Pads, is a reusable sanitary towel designed to be cost-effective and accessible for low-income women.23
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Finance from the University of Nairobi, graduating in 2013.1
