Barbara Veiga is a Brazilian activist, photographer, filmmaker, and ocean conservationist.1 She is the author of "Seven Years in Seven Seas" and has worked in more than 80 countries to raise awareness about ocean conservation through various mediums including storytelling, artistic performances, exhibitions, and educational talks.14
Veiga spent seven years sailing the world's seas, which inspired her dedication to ocean exploration and preservation.1 She is a co-founder of the Women's League for the Ocean, a movement that brings together women from diverse backgrounds to work towards protecting the ocean and its resources.1
