Barbara Lougee

Barbara Lougee is an accomplished professional specializing in XBRL, US GAAP taxonomy development, financial statement analysis and valuation, analysis of earnings quality, and executive education.

Barbara has a robust educational background, holding Ph.D. and M.S. degrees from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, an M.B.A. from the same institution, a B.A. from Colgate University, and additional studies at UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, and UC San Diego.

Barbara Lougee has held various key positions in prestigious organizations including the University of San Diego where she served as the Associate Professor of Accounting and also held roles such as former Associate Dean, Graduate Programs, and Interim Dean at the School of Business.

Prior to her tenure at the University of San Diego, Barbara gained valuable experience working as a Consultant on the XBRL Project at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), as well as working as a Consultant at XBRL US, Inc. and holding the position of Vice President at Morgan Stanley.
