Advising Dean at Haverford College
Barbara Hall is an Associate Dean of Student Success and Advising Dean at Haverford College.12 She has been at Haverford since 2003, working in various roles centered around supporting diversity, access, and inclusion on campus.1 Hall holds an AB in Philosophy from Bryn Mawr College and an MS.Ed in Education, Culture, and Society with a concentration in Japanese Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.1
As an Advising Dean, Hall focuses on supporting her advisees from their first year through graduation.1 She is passionate about helping students navigate their undergraduate education and making Haverford a fully inclusive and empowering place.1 Hall has extensive experience working with international students, first-generation and low-income students, LGBTQ+ students, and students with learning differences.1
In addition to her role as an Advising Dean, Hall co-directs the Chesick Mentoring Program and supports pre-major advising for first-year and sophomore students.1 She is assigned to advise students with last names starting with D, E, F, M, and N.2
