    She spearheaded the cluster model at STFC's Harwell and Daresbury Science & Innovation Campuses, overseeing the creation of successful innovation clusters in Space, HealthTec, EnergyTec, Digital, and Quantum tech, collectively hosting over 300 organizations with significant staff growth and supporting a broader network of 400+ organizations in the UK.

    Prior to her current role, Barbara Ghinelli held positions such as Executive Director of Business Development at STFC, where she played a significant role in establishing the International Space Innovation Centre and securing major investments in High-Performance Computing.

    Her extensive professional history includes strategic leadership roles at EADS Astrium (now Airbus DS), managing business development for significant ESA/EU Earth Observation programs.

    Barbara Ghinelli holds a PhD in Radar Image Processing and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Sheffield, a B.Eng in Electronic Engineering from the University of York, and a Certificate in Management from the Open University.
