Barb Loftus

Barbara A Loftus is a skilled professional with a unique background as a counselor-nurse hybrid. With 18 years of experience in nursing, primarily focusing on emergency room/trauma care, Barbara transitioned into counseling after attaining a master's degree in the field. Her expertise lies in working with individuals facing emotional trauma, with a special focus on pediatrics and counseling survivors of sexual abuse.

Barbara received her M.A. in Counseling from Biblical Seminary and her BSN in Nursing from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. She has honed her skills through various roles encompassing both nursing and counseling, showcasing a diverse and comprehensive professional journey.

Having served in different capacities at esteemed organizations, including roles at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Family Support Line, and Lighthouse Counseling Services, LLC, Barbara has demonstrated a commitment to helping individuals in need. Her involvement in initiatives such as the anti-human trafficking task force highlights her dedication to addressing critical social issues.

Currently, Barbara holds the position of Lead Nurse in specialty care at CHOP, while also contributing her counseling expertise at Thriveworks. Her extensive experience and dual qualifications make her a valuable asset in providing holistic care to her clients and patients.
