Barb Newton

Barb Newton is a seasoned executive with vast experience in leading consumer multimedia brand companies, trade industry organizations, and consulting for top-tier corporations such as General Mills and National Geographic. A graduate of Lehigh University with a BA and MA in English and Journalism, she has built high-performing teams, launched successful new products, transformed business models, strengthened brand leadership positions, and reduced operating costs. Newton is currently the President/CEO at CalTravel, where she has driven innovation, improved profitability, and built a close-knit collaborative team dedicated to achieving shared goals with strong loyalty. Her previous leadership roles include President of Sunset Publishing at Time Inc., President of Reiman Media Group at Reader's Digest Milwaukee, and SVP Director of Publishing, Women's Health Worldwide at Rodale Inc. Newton has also worked as an independent consultant in strategy, content, and new business development.
