James Kenigsberg is a technology evangelist and entrepreneur with vast experience in the field of digital education. He is known for his passion for using technology to create engaging and interactive digital classrooms. He is the founding Chief Technology Officer at 2U, where he designs and manages innovative, efficient, and sustainable technology infrastructure to create access for students and faculty in 2U-powered programs. His efforts have led to the inception of 2UOS, a proprietary operating system that delivers an up-close and personal learning experience.
James is a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Hunter College. He has previously held positions at Ogilvy & Mather, The Princeton Review, and Thomson Reuters. He has also served as an advisor and board member for companies such as Andela, CloudAware, and Udemy.
James is a believer in the power of diverse teams to uplift and challenge each other, which he feels ultimately results in making better products, creating better solutions, and helping companies succeed. In his free time, he takes pride in his heritage and family, his ability to cook up obscure analogies for some of the world’s simplest problems, and his constant pursuit of finding things where he wouldn’t feel like he’s riding a bicycle.
