Matthew Perrins is a Distinguished Engineer with IBM's Ecosystem Engineering team. He has been in the IT industry since 1984, spending the majority of his career supporting IBM clients in delivering Systems of Engagement solutions. He's particularly focused on Cloud Native solutions using OpenShift, Kubernetes, and IBM Cloud, as well as mobile and VR, which allows him to lend his expertise to help support the IBM Apple partnership. Some of his areas of recent skill include Enterprise Cloud Architecture, Mobile Architecture, Azure Cloud, Cloud Native Development, Leading Enterprise Agile Teams, Enterprise DevOps, Product Engineering, and Consulting.

Matthew has co-authored a book on modern web development and has a strong educational background, having studied Computer Science at the University of Life at William Parker in Daventry. He's held roles with various organizations, including the BBC, Keen Computers, Fraser Howarth Ltd, Ingersoll Engineers UK LLP, The Computing Practice, HRG, and IBM, where he's previously held roles as Executive IT Specialist and Digital Architect.
