Kyle Koichi Morishita
Kyle Morishita is a rising star in the legal field, specializing in personal injury, criminal, and immigration law. He was awarded Super Lawyers' Rising Stars selection and Martindale-Hubbell's highest honors, the AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating, and Platinum Client Champion Award. Born in Boston and raised in Oakland, Kyle has a passion for protecting immigrants' rights, fueled by his family's history of being detained due to Japanese ancestry during World War II. He studied at the University of California, Davis, earning a Juris Doctor, Public Service Law Program Certificate, Pro Bono Program Certificate, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Kyle has interned for U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer and the U.S. Air Force, and clerked for the Honorable Kristin L. Mix of the U.S. District Court in Denver. Outside of work, Kyle serves on the Board of Directors for the Immigration Law Clinic Alumni Council and Las Vegas Buddhist Sangha, and applies principles learned from yoga and coaching basketball to his daily life.
