Alanna Hulburd is a linguist, conversation designer, and UX writer with a strong desire to use language in different ways to connect with and empathize with people. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from Georgetown University and earned a Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the MGH Institute of Health Professions with a concentration certificate in Voice Disorders. Hulburd has worked as an A.I. chatbot writer for JustAnswer, a speech-language pathologist for private practice clinics, a communication interface researcher and designer for the Autism Language Program (ALP) at Boston Children's Hospital, and a research assistant for The Newport Lab at Georgetown University.
