Arjun Sharma is a Computer Engineering senior student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. With a strong background and interest in data science and machine learning, he has worked in a variety of roles that utilised these skills. Arjun is currently a Senior Data Science Engineer at OpenTable, where he applies his expertise in recommendations, ranking, natural language processing, and reinforcement learning to improve the company's platform. Prior to this, he worked as a Data Science Engineer at OpenTable, a Data Analytics Intern at BlueFlame Energy Finance, and a Network Analysis Researcher at the Crowd Dynamics Lab in the UIUC Computer Science Department, where he was mentored by Prof Hari Sundaram. Arjun has also interned as a Web Developer and iOS Developer at HouseCall and as an Engineering Intern at Qualcomm.
