Project Manager at Stony Brook University Medical Center

Project Manager responsible as primary client liaison, and for design review and construction coordination.  Scope includes RFQ and RFP writing for commodities and services; processing of all project documentation to include funding requests, RFIs, change orders, and closeout; coordination with unionized labor forces; furniture selection; and regulatory agency inspections.  Coordination includes all associated support systems including medical gases, fire alarm, nurse call, building management, pneumatic tube, infant abduction, card access, and unit specific alarm systems.

Significant projects include Radiation Oncology Suite complete with new CT and two linear accelerators, ISO 7 Pharmacy renovations, ISO 7 Stem Cell Laboratory and Cryogen Storage Room, Radiography/Fluoroscopy room, new construction of Woman & Infants Wing including new Labor & Delivery and NICU units, Emergency Department renovation and expansion, Main Lobby, MRIs, CTs, Central Core Laboratory.

Project Coordinator responsible for all capital construction and planning on campus from inception through project closeout.  NYS Code Enforcement Official responsible for issuing building permits.  Primary contact for all regulatory agencies.  

Facilities Coordinator for Commencement and special events such as President's Inauguration and VIP presentations.

Prominent projects include an 800 bed, 5 building dormitory complex, a Student Union, interior and exterior sports complex renovations, and audio/visual upgrades to a theatre and two lecture halls.

Agency interactions include Federal and State Environmental Protection Agency, State University Construction Fund, Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, Department of Health, Department of Labor, Department of Environmental Conservation, Nassau County Fire Marshal, and local municipalities.

Project Coordinator

Staff architect acting as liaison to various school districts on Long Island.  Responsibilities included field investigation, design, and presentations.  During construction, acted as the primary contact for all construction activities and updating the client, including many Boards of Education.  Activities also included all documentation processing during the construction and project closeout process.
