J. Williams

J. Williams is a seasoned intellectual property attorney with over 30 years of experience in commercial litigation and problem resolution, specializing in patent and trademark law.

As a registered patent lawyer since 2000, Williams assists clients with the preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark applications, enforcement, counseling, domestic and international portfolio management, and transactional work involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.

In addition to his focus on intellectual property matters, Williams has a comprehensive background in commercial litigation, covering trials, appeals, and arbitrations.

Williams is actively admitted to practice in Texas and the District of Columbia, as well as various US District Courts and Circuit Courts of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

Throughout his career, Williams has been involved in a diverse range of legal disputes and has served as lead counsel or trial counsel in several trademark/Lanham Act cases, including high-profile litigations.

Education-wise, Williams obtained his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and his B.A. from Reed College.

Currently, Williams serves as a partner at Richards Rodriguez & Skeith LLP, having previously held positions at respected law firms such as Andrews Kurth LLP, Cantey & Hanger, LLP, George & Donaldson, LLP, and Williams & Connolly.

Before pursuing a legal career, Williams also worked as a Programmer/Software Engineer at Balcones Computer, showing his diverse skill set and experience across different domains.
