Designed and managed the fabrication of an entirely unattended lights-out work cell:- managed rigging contractors to move a robot move between facilities- worked with maintenance staff to plumb the robot- coordinated lathe move within the building- designed, drafted, and worked with the fast-turnaround department to get parts cut to fixture a dominant fraction of the hydraulic cylinder rod family produced by the machine shop I was supporting such that just 2 fixtures handled over 80% of the work cell's volume- ordered parts- assembled the shroud- programmed interlocks- programmed the robot- trained operators on robot programming- programmed the robot to open and close the lathe door, because we were out of controller inputsIn the process freeing up at least 1 person per shift for more challenging work within the facility.Designed fixtures on demand for the machine shop to improve welding throughput and fabrication ergonomics.
