Darren Tanner is a seasoned data scientist and quantitative researcher with over a decade of experience in the field. He has a strong background in Python & R, machine learning, statistics, data modeling, data visualization, experimentation, and experimental design. Additionally, he has experience with computer vision and natural language processing. With a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Washington, Darren is well-versed in cognitive neuroscience, cognitive psychology, and linguistics. His academic knowledge has helped him to identify patterns and insights in complex human-centered data.

Darren currently works as a Data Scientist at Microsoft, where he continues to utilize his expertise to provide data-backed solutions to business problems. Prior to this, he was a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science, Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Postdoctoral Researcher at Penn State University.
