Tony Hodgson has had an impressive career in IT and emerging technologies for over thirty years. As a former spacecraft engineer, he founded, grew, and sold three award-winning software and IT service firms. He led global accounts for major telecommunications companies, including MCI and Verizon Wireless, where he managed wireless, wireline, cloud, and M2M applications. Hodgson was the Development Director for one of the largest incubator/accelerators in the US, the Houston Technology Center, and has founded and moderated technology meetup groups. He is now the CEO and Managing Principal at Brainwaive LLC, advising enterprise clients and tech startups on emerging technology, mobile computing, cyber security for connected devices, AR/VR headsets, wearable computing, drones, IIoT, spatial computing, blockchain, and non-biological intelligence.
Hodgson is also an author, holding multiple industry certifications, and leading IEEE standards development teams. He has interests in serious games, Wolfram's New Kind of Science, commercial aerospace development, and The Singularity. He studied Mechanical Engineering and Computer-Aided Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington, Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Design at Texas A&M University, and took coursework towards a Masters in Mechanical Engineering at Rice University. Overall, Tony Hodgson is an accomplished professional in tech, sales, and management with a wide range of experience.
