Main functions and responsibilities are to coordinate and guide the implementation of monitoring and impact assessment within the Promoting Private Sector Employment (PPSE) program and ensure the quality and alignment with the Swissscontact internal standard and the DCED standard, thus responding to external accountability and internal management needs. Supervising proper implementation of the monitoring and results measurement activities by the sector teams, as well as regular development of the PPSE monitoring system.Responsible also for capacity building of the sector teams and support in analysis in selected sectors and areas, design of strategies, intervention and plan of activities, in assessing impact and conducting field and desk research. Aggregating data and reporting to the Project Manager and the donor is also part of the main responsibilities.Furthermore, a core role within the project is to backstop and support the team in implementation, with emphasis on the Market Systems Development (MSD) methodology. Experience with the MSD methodology for over six years at PPSE and beyond, in sectors such as tourism, wood processing, waste management, etc. as well as a part of a core worldwide Swisscontact group in developing a unique practical implementation methodology that has roots within MSD.Milestone achievement was the development and presentation of a unique methodology developed specifically for the purpose of measuring the impact of PPSE interventions with regards to employment for the tourism sector. The 'Tourism Employment Proxy and Multiplier' represents a practical methodology for calculation of employment in tourism and was presented at the Global Seminar (organized by the DCED and BEAM Exchange in Nairobi) regarding themes of results measurement (particularly around the DCED Standard), and market systems development in cities.

Main functions and activities were field investigation and secondary research in defining the and selecting potential sub-sectors based on growth indicators (income and employment) for the respective sector. Preparation of market strategies for sub-sectors that the project decided to work. Active facilitation, identification, design and selection of interventions and partnerships. Lead role in the team for implementation of the Market Systems Development (MSD) methodology. Contribution to the Project Document. Continues monitoring and assessment of the progress of sector pilot interventions.

Market Sector Facilitator

Coordinate and guide the implementation of monitoring and results measurement within the PPSE Program following the DCED standards under the supervision and in close coordination with the Monitoring and Results Measurement (MRM) Specialist, thus responding to external accountability and internal management needs. Focal person for two sectors, tourism and private sector development governance, in the Promoting Private Sector Employment project in Kosovo. Other main tasks included to define the MRM methodology and instruments to be applied and consistent with DCED standards and Swisscontact general guideline as well as to support the MRM Specialist in analyzing, aggregating and reporting results.

Monitoring and Results Measurement Officer

Part of the "Horticulture Promotion in Kosovo" project, which was funded by the Swiss Cooperation and Development Office in Kosovo and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. The main objective of the project was market development for the horticulture sector in Kosovo. Involved in two roles within the project, in charge of coordinating and monitoring operational work within the project and facilitation. Activities and responsibilities within this project included facilitation of working groups (thematic groups) in the sectors of fruits, berries, grapes and wine for the purpose of identifying and implementing joint market opportunities. As a result of this facilitation, two new brands were created, one regional brand for grapes, wine and raki as well as a collective brand for fruits products. Through these two brands, many work on product improvement has been done as well as the cooperation between different value chain actors was enhanced.

Some of the important research topics were about SME development, privatization, higher education research evaluation, sector strategies, evaluation of development projects, publication and advocacy, feasibility studies, business plans, market research, etc. Main responsibilities and activities were to identify, design and draft research proposals, coordinate and implement projects, supervise surveys, draft questionnaires, analyze data, write reports, moderate group works, organize conferences, etc.
