Susan Chana is a seasoned public affairs professional with over 15 years of experience leading and executing strategic communication and media relations efforts for both public and private sector organizations. She currently serves as the Assistant Vice President for Enterprise Communications at Emory University, overseeing earned and social media, as well as content distribution strategy. Prior to joining Emory, Susan served as the Director of the Center for Strategic Relations at the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), where she oversaw communications, digital strategy, and creative services, and managed corporate and community relations for the organization. Before joining the ARC, Susan held key communications positions at Equifax, Golin, WebMD, Delta Air Lines, and Zoo Atlanta. At Delta Air Lines, she was part of the inaugural cross-divisional social media team, where she led the integration of social media into daily media relations efforts and oversaw public relations strategy and digital influencer outreach efforts. Susan was also a media spokesperson for Delta and a key member of the airline's crisis management team, managing communication efforts surrounding the 2009 terrorist attack on Northwest Flight 253. Susan holds a Master of Arts degree in Political Management from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Northern Illinois University.
