David Touve
David Touve is a highly accomplished entrepreneur, researcher, and educator with extensive experience across the lifecycle of new ventures. He has worked with both venture-backed and bootstrapped startups, from ideation to acquisition. Touve developed and taught experiential entrepreneurship courses at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, where he currently serves as Senior Director of Applied Innovation and New Ventures. Previously, Touve was the Assistant Professor and Director of the Galant Center for Entrepreneurship at McIntire School of Commerce and the Assistant Professor of Business at Washington and Lee University. As a researcher, Touve focuses on policy- and practice-focused work, exploring entrepreneurial activities at the intersection of copyright and new technologies. He has presented his work to academic, executive, and policy audiences on multiple continents and his research has been referenced in major media outlets like WIRED and the Financial Times.
