Angela Watts is a highly accomplished student affairs professional with over a decade of experience in the field. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications/Public Relations from East Tennessee State University, a Master of Science in Leadership in Higher Education from Capella University, and a Doctor of Education - PhD in Educational Leadership, and Administration, General from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Her research interests include first-gen access, sense of belonging and retention in graduate school, access and equity for marginalized communities, and Appalachian studies. Angela has worked in various roles, including Assistant Director of Academic Programs, Senior Program Coordinator, and Academic Programs Coordinator at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. She has also served as Fundraising Coordinator at the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Assistant Dean of Students/Director of Student Activities at Tennessee Wesleyan University, Area Coordinator at East Tennessee State University, Assistant Director for Residence Life at the University of Tennessee at Martin, and Housing Coordinator at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
