Nate Tedford
Nate Tedford is a prominent biological engineer with academic and industrial experience in various fields, from cell and molecular biology to synthetic biology and device engineering. Holding a BS in Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a PhD in Biological Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Nate has extensive knowledge in proteomics, metabolomics, high throughput screening, metabolic engineering, cell signaling, tissue engineering, gene therapy, computational modeling of biological systems, and medical device development. He has proven his technical expertise in building, scaling and managing technical teams and capabilities across a broad range of disciplines. He is currently Head of Foundry Operations and was formerly Head of Test and Test Pipeline Architect at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. Nate was also an Instructor and Research Scientist at MIT, Department of Biological Engineering, a Scientist at Epitome Biosystems, and a Graduate Research Fellow at MIT.
