We need an alternative to signing away our agency online. Every day we give away ownership of our content and data in order to be a digital citizen. We need true commons, and the ability to access them without the approval and permission of any authenticating incumbent. The corporations that manage these accounts and store the users’ data then have an incentive to leverage that data to derive profit – and they are not incentivized to share that power. 
IdentiKey uses the modern cryptography, leveraging web3 technology. By designing and building open standards and protocols, we create a credibly neutral stack for building important shared common infrastructure so that users own their data in a way that’s not dependent on the continued existence of a particular entity.
Our initial consumer application will provide an identity and persona management interface coupled with key and password management. Create and visualize interconnections between people and organizations in an open, decentralized, shared-ownership system that creates a shared-ownership social graph and reputation network. Users will be able to manage their keys, and have access to a secure non-custodial account recovery system.
This acts as a gateway to the further use cases that require a neutral commons, such as secure self-hosting of data for meeting compliance requirements etc., and creating a common infrastructure for discourse and connection online, data that can be utilized by anyone bootstrapping a new application rather than becoming the moat by which existing incumbents gatekeep their industry.

- Create the technical strategy to build a custom dapp for Big Green DAO. 
- As a non-profit trying to vet new grantees, they made their past grantees into members who could vote on where to award new grants. 
- Use Foundry to write smart contracts on Polygon for a membership token used for creating official proposals and to access voting.   
- I hired a small team, and used T3 and NextJS to connect Snapshot to our front-end for creating and voting on proposals for the organization.

- Gather and train a team, and design and build the app using T3 and NextJS on Polygon.

- Co-founder of a decentralized cryptocurrency mutual-credit trade network for goods and services.  
- Create a "stablecredit" cryptocurrency token as a medium of exchange; not exchangeable with other tokens, but pegged to a stable currency. 
- Create a security token offering, run a token generation event and sale.
- Hire and train a team
- Build a pilot app, which had over 250 businesses actively trading.
- Write the marketplace as a database-backed web application.
- Monetary exchange was secured by the Celo blockchain.
- Design a user-friendly wallet system with non-custodial recoverability. Use a 2 of 3 multi-signer system with the one private key stored locally in their browser, and retrievable by cryptographically hashing their login credentials. 
- We accomplished this with a custom multisig smart contract, and handled transaction fees with metatransactions.
- Work on economic modeling and design to evolve into a protocol and set of tools to permissionlessly create sustainable mutual credit trade networks in any community.  Extending even a small amount of credit in communities which have mutual trust but little money can make a huge impact in alleviating poverty.

- Design an economic model to create a "cryptocurrency for social good" 
- Include a banking component to allow easy on- and off-ramp capabilities. 
- Design and build a non-custodial and recoverable wallet system for non-technical users to be able to receive and work with cryptocurrency.

- Research and design crypto-economic primitives using economic first principles
- Explore fundamental structures behind cryptocurrency and consensus-based networks in general, to allow anyone to create and access programmable local economies. 
- Develop a system for distributed computation utilizing cryptographically verifiable state change, consensus rings, and hierarchical consensus topologies with distributed 2-phase commits across network boundaries to allow a true global computer, or "computational fabric".

- Automated blue-green deployments of extremely high scale services.
- Playstation Network operated upwards of 40,000 servers, serving 100,000's of requests per second.  
- Develop Sony's service deployment strategy, including introducing Docker, Packer-built AWS image-based autoscaling, cache pre-warming and consistent hashing for scaling memcache servers without invalidating the cache.

Senior Software Engineer

- Write code for Ethereum to create a legal association. Distribute cryptocurrency meta-tokens representing an equity allocation and profit distribution rights in the association.  
- Implement automated income distribution to token holders.  
- Took part in the first "Rebooting the Web of Trust" to modernize the old PGP web of trust for a new era of open-source, secure encrypted communication. Our work eventually became the DID standard (Decentralized Identifiers, https://www.w3.org/TR/did-core/).

Citizen Code

- Work on building Amazon Local Commerce, a point-of-sale system. 
- Write a set of firewall edge-deployed components to encrypt and securely tokenize incoming credit card data.  
- Use Mapreduce to pre-calculate aggregated user sales data and other analytics.

- One of two senior technical leads building out the first major remote ordering app for local restaurants. 
- Pivoted to become a point-of-sale solution.

- Designed and wrote the Backbone.js / Coffeescript application for our merchant-facing web applications.
