Markham Erickson
Markham Erickson is a highly experienced lawyer and public policy professional with a strong background in Internet and technology companies.
He has been involved in crafting global foundational laws that govern the commercial Internet.
Currently, Mr. Erickson leads Google's Government Affairs and Public Policy Centers of Excellence, overseeing a team of experts dedicated to applying law and policy to technology and the Internet.
His role involves engaging policymakers, NGOs, and various stakeholders on technology and regulation matters while advising Google on policy positions.
Mr. Erickson also contributes to Google's Sustainability Board.
Prior to his current position, he led the Internet, technology, and media practice group at a prestigious law firm, representing companies in various regulatory and policy aspects.
He has a strong educational background, holding a JD with Honors from The George Washington University Law School and a BA in English Literature from Wheaton College.
Throughout his career, Mr. Erickson has held key roles at different renowned law firms.
