Tracey Turner is a renowned entrepreneur and seasoned business executive with over 20 years of experience leading social businesses, social investing, and international development initiatives. Tracey is a trailblazer in using capitalism to alleviate global poverty.

Tracey serves as the Founder and Executive Chairman of Copia Global, a company that is bringing eCommerce to the Base of the Pyramid in East Africa. She is also a founding board member of Village Capital, which engages Bay-area people in microfinance. Tracey founded MicroPlace, a web-based brokerage service for everyday people to invest in social causes worldwide, which was later acquired by eBay.

Prior to MicroPlace, Tracey was part of the founding team and served as CFO of KickStart International. She also founded and served as CEO of 4charity, a web-based marketplace for charitable giving. Earlier in her career, Tracey held a variety of positions with socially responsible firms, including the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh, Calvert Ventures in Washington, DC, and the World Bank in Kenya.

Tracey holds a degree in engineering and economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Stanford Business School. She is a regular speaker at conferences and in the media, having earned numerous leadership awards, including the Top 25 Women of the Web Award, San Francisco Business Times Leadership Award, and Working Woman Magazine Entrepreneurship Award.

In her free time, Tracey enjoys spending time with her three children, playing Ironman races or running marathons. She has served as President of the Foundation for Reed Schools and is highly involved in advocating for democratic causes in the US. Tracey was one of Hillary's top 100 fundraisers in the 2016 presidential election.
