Damon Tanton
Damon Tanton, M.D. is an endocrinologist, obesity medicine specialist, and futurist based in Florida. He currently works as the Medical Director-Clinical Practice at the Florida Hospital Diabetes Institute while also serving as the CMO/Co-Founder at Metabolic Markets, LLC. With over 20 years of experience in the field of endocrinology, Dr. Tanton is also board-certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. He has held several noteworthy positions throughout his career, including President of the Local Community Board at the American Diabetes Association, faculty at the Institute for Lifestyle Medicine at Florida Hospital, and Director of the Celebration Health Weight Management Program.
Dr. Tanton is a former Active Duty Major, Endocrinologist at the Air Force, and he holds several notable military decorations, including the Meritorious Service Medal and the Joint Services Commendation Medal. He has presented his research and expertise at conferences across the world in cities like Geneva, Budapest, and Amsterdam. Dr. Tanton is a father of three, a husband, a decent chess player, and pretty good at tennis. In his spare time, he enjoys partaking in endurance sports like the Half-Iron Man. His favorite Bible passage is Philippians 4:4-9,11,13, and his favorite quote is by Calvin Coolidge, the 30th President of the United States: “Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”
