Sawyer Kemp is an experienced academic and performer with a specialization in contemporary performance, Shakespeare, 17th-century literature and drama, digital humanities, performance theory, queer theory, transgender theory, intersectional feminism, game design, yoga, and accessibility. They hold a Bachelor's degree in English and Women's & Gender Studies from Syracuse University and a doctorate in Early Modern Literature & Drama, Queer Theory, Performance Theory from UC Davis. Sawyer serves as an Associate Instructor at UC Davis, where they have also been a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Student Researcher, and is particularly interested in using academia to teach and learn.
